Education
“The fear of God is the beginning of wisdom”
In an age where “college diplomas” are offered in our email inboxes, humanity has lost sight of true learning. Students strive not for personal enrichment, but rather techniques to test well. We attend college not to expand our minds, but to “get ahead.”
True education must be more than a college diploma.
While I find myself a victim of this society, I am inspired by others who have refused to sell out. Consider the man who, instead of taking the advancement at work, learns how to grow a garden. Or picture the young woman who delays her studies to care for children in a developing country. It's foolish. It's not logical. But we need it.
These values guide my educational choices now.
